The Department of Decision Sciences and Management at Tennessee Technological
University invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor
position in the areas of Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship beginning August 2015.
Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels,
scholarly activity consistent with AACSB standards, and service to the department,
university, and profession.
Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree in Business Strategy or a related
field from an AACSB-accredited institution (ABDs nearing completion may be
considered), excellence in teaching and communication skills, and demonstrated
ability to publish research in peer-reviewed journals. Preferred qualifications
include ability to teach online and/or hybrid courses, ability to contribute to
university-wide initiatives in entrepreneurship or healthcare management, and
ability to teach other management courses offered by the department (e.g., human
resource management electives).
Our department is home to approximately 175 majors and we offer concentrations
in General Management, Human Resource Management, Management Information
Systems, Production & Operations Management, and Business & Information
Technology. We also provide graduate courses to support the College's MBA
Program.
