    Managing Director of the Lowder Center for Family Business and Entrepreneurship

     

     

    Job Duties: The Raymond J. Harbert College of Business at Auburn University is seeking qualified candidates to fill one full-time non-tenure-track Managing Director position for the Lowder Center for Family and Business Entrepreneurship effective February, 2015. This position is intended to develop and promote the college's entrepreneurship program for both our students, internal and external constituents.

     

    The primary responsibility of a successful candidate for this position is to create and execute a strategic plan for the Center; teach one undergraduate entrepreneurship class per semester; support college and university level entrepreneurship initiatives such as the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame and Tiger Cage; in conjunction with the development staff, build relationships between Auburn and entrepreneurial ventures that have strong potential to generate funds for entrepreneurship research and related initiatives; conduct AACSB and SACS assessment activities related to the undergraduate entrepreneurship program; promote the undergraduate entrepreneurship program with prospective students (field questions, develop marketing material, create a promotion strategy for current and potential Auburn students); and broadly serve as the ambassador for Auburn's entrepreneurship offerings to internal and external constituents.

     

    The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.

     

    Qualification: Successful applicants must possess a master degree or PhD in a business related field with at least 5 years of entrepreneurship experience.
