Carlton Highsmith Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship
Quinnipiac University School of Business has a strong culture of innovation and nowhere is this more evident than in our Department of Entrepreneurship and Strategy. The department seeks a dynamic and innovative individual for the newly created Carlton Highsmith Endowed Chair of Entrepreneurship. This is a tenure track position.
Quinnipiac's B.S. in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management seeks to become a nationally recognized program, and the endowed chair will play a vital leadership role in achieving this goal. The School of Business is AACSB Accredited.
In addition to teaching in the undergraduate and/or graduate program and maintaining a strong and active research agenda in the field of entrepreneurship, the endowed chair will extend outreach to build relationships with other programs on campus (e.g. the new medical school, engineering school, etc.) and the business community. The chair will manage the budget associated with the endowed chair position, and will develop supplemental programs to support student achievement and entrepreneurial activity.
Minimum requirements include:
· A Ph.D. or other terminal degree from an accredited institution in innovation, entrepreneurship, strategic management, or germane academic specialty.
· An active research and publication record in top-tier journals in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, or strategic management that will warrant appointment at the rank of associate professor or professor.
· A history of high-quality teaching in innovation, entrepreneurship, or strategic management, preferably at an AACSB-accredited institution.
· Professional experience as an entrepreneur is a major plus.
