Dear all,
We are happy to report that as the ACERE submissions closed we counted an increase by 25% in submissions (120 to 150) from last year. If you intended to submit but were delayed by unforeseen circumstances (or confused about the closing date by Martin Bliemel's posting which was posted with some delay by the listserv) we would still give you a chance to submit (see below), albeit with no guarantee of acceptance.
We are also proud to announce the line-up of international top scholars who will review and discuss papers in our highly developmental "Paper Development Sessions". Apart from myself, Saras Sarasvathy, Dean Shepherd, Frederic Delmar and Karl Wennberg are confirmed participants in such roles, while preliminary participation has been secured for Joe Cheng, Tom Lumpkin and Johan Wiklund. This also represents the calibre of panellists we intend to attract to future ACERE conferences, so if you cannot participate in 2014 you may want to consider doing so in the coming years.
Full message sent to prior participants follows below.
ACERE 2014 Abstract Submissions Now Closed
The online Abstract submission portal for the ACERE 2014 Conference is now closed. Due to our tight scheduling, the deadline for submission of abstracts is two weeks earlier than in previous years. If you have missed the deadline due to unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances, you may contact the conference manager by emailing acereconference@qut.edu.au or calling +61 7 3341 0063 to request consideration of a late abstract submission. Only abstracts meeting the guidelines will be viewed by the committee. Abstract submission numbers for the 2014 conference have exceeded previous years by 25% and no guarantee of acceptance of a late submission request is given.
