Dear Entrepreneurship colleagues:
I hope many of you might consider submitting a paper or panel proposal to the track on Stakeholder Involvement in Complex Settings at the SMS Special Conference on Strategy in Complex Settings scheduled for Glasgow, Scotland, June 20-22nd, 2013. This represents an excellent opportunity for those interested in Stakeholder Strategy-related issues to get together to present and exchange research ideas at a small, intimate conference in an interesting setting!
Proposals are due November 30, 2012.
Representative questions that might be addressed by those submitting to the Stakeholder Involvement in Complex Settings track include, but are not limited to:
· What forms of stakeholder engagement and interaction best manage the balance between competition and cooperation within, across and between industries?
· How are new and emerging phenomena, practices and technologies, such as social media, influencing stakeholder involvement in strategy development? Do such technologies help or hinder in complex settings?
· Are there new modes of participation, measurement and reward which foster effective stakeholder cooperation and build better governance in the sustainable generation of shared value?
We welcome conceptual and empirical submissions that clarify issues associated with stakeholders in complex settings. We encourage multiple viewpoints and cross-disciplinary dialogue, and actively seek submissions using traditional and non-traditional methods that could include: theory building, case studies, ethnographies, surveys, mathematical models and large-sample quantitative studies, among others. We are committed to providing an atmosphere encouraging extensive interaction and mutual learning among track participants, plus stimulating and developmental feedback for contributors.
Proposals (5-7 pages, for paper and panel sessions) relating to the conference theme are invited. Only original, unpublished work is sought. Deadline for Submission of Proposals: November 30, 2012
