    Invitation to Copenhagen Workshop: Measuring  Determinants of Entrepreneurial  Activity                            
     
    This Eurostat/FORA workshop in October 2008 will gather academia, statisticians, policy makers and other experts in a joint effort to develop internationally comparable indicators on entrepreneurship in the area of R&D and Technology.
     
    Smaller enterprises and entrepreneurs  are  key  drivers of innovation, competitiveness and growth. Therefore, empirical information about entrepreneurship is essential when developing the best framework conditions to support entrepreneurial activity.
     
    The event in Copenhagen will  provide participants with the opportunity to influence and create the optimal conditions for entrepreneurship policies worldwide by contributing to a harmonized and agreed framework for indicators.
