Dear all,
Do you know of any dedicated courses / trainings that aim at educating investors on the various aspects of startup investment? Some or all of the following aspects should be covered:
Help them understand
- Why they should / or shouldn't invest in startups (as compared to other forms of investments)
- Budgeting (% of total assets to be used for startup investing)
- Vehicles for investing
- Exposure to trends and themes of the future
- Dealflow management (how to build a deal flow, which networks to join, which online tools to use, how to analyse / track deals)
- Due Diligence, terminologies, national vs. international investments, how to negotiate terms, etc
- Legal aspects
- Post-investment: tracking, follow-on funding, which role to play in the company / board, etc
- Case studies, startups coming to pitch, visits to business angels and VCs
- etc.
If you are aware of any program, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and best regards,
Peter
