    POSITION: The Department of Entrepreneurship in the Farmer School of Business at Miami University invites applications for Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship (tenure track) to teach entrepreneurship; maintain an active research program and publish in highly regarded management and entrepreneurship journals; advise students; and provide service to the institution. The appointment begins Fall 2023.  

    REQUIRED: Ph.D. in entrepreneurship or related field of study by date of appointment.

    DESIRED:
     Consideration may be given to candidates with a proficiency in empirical research in the field of entrepreneurship; a commitment to excellence in teaching high-quality undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship courses; or the ability and desire to conduct empirical entrepreneurship research for publication in highly-regarded refereed management and/or entrepreneurship journals; with interest and ability to teach courses in entrepreneurship and in their field of research at both the undergraduate and Master's level.

    BACKGROUND:
    Research faculty in Miami University's Department of Entrepreneurship rank among the Top 25 in the Global University Entrepreneurship Research Productivity Rankings produced annually by the Neeley School of Business. Our faculty publish regularly in top management and entrepreneurship journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, the Strategic Management Journal, the Journal of Business VenturingEntrepreneurship Theory and Practice, the Journal of Management, the Journal of Business Ethics, and Organization Science, among many others.

    In addition, the Department of Entrepreneurship has been ranked among the Top 10 public schools for undergraduate entrepreneurship studies (#7 overall among public universities in 2022) for fourteen (14) consecutive years in The Princeton Review® and Entrepreneur Magazine annual ranking of the Top 50 Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Programs in the world. Our innovative curricular and co-curricular programming combines strong academic scholarship and rigorous theoretical and empirical research with immersive, practice-based learning opportunities for students in startup and venture capital, social entrepreneurship and impact investing, corporate innovation and technology commercialization, and creativity and entrepreneurial thinking.
