    POSITION: The Department of Entrepreneurship in the Farmer School of Business at Miami University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor in Entrepreneurship to teach a full-time load in the Farmer School of Business's Entrepreneurship degree program. This Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor in Entrepreneurship is responsible for applying a practitioner's perspective with solid academic foundations to courses in the Entrepreneurship core. Position start date is August 19, 2024.

    BACKGROUND: The Department of Entrepreneurship, winner of the USASBE Model Program Award in 2024 as the top entrepreneurship program in world and ranked among the Top 10 public schools for undergraduate entrepreneurship studies for sixteen consecutive years in The Princeton Review® and Entrepreneur Magazine annual ranking of the Top 50 Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Programs in the world (#7 overall globally, #2 overall in the Midwest, and #1 in Ohio in 2024), combines strong academic scholarship and rigorous theoretical and empirical research with immersive, practice-based learning opportunities for students in startup and venture capital, social entrepreneurship and impact investing, corporate innovation and technology commercialization, and creativity and entrepreneurial thinking.     REQUIRED: Doctorate in entrepreneurship, management, business, or a closely related discipline by time of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor. Master's degree in entrepreneurship, management, business, or a closely related discipline by the date of appointment for appointment as Instructor.

    DESIRED: Consideration may be given to candidates with teaching experience and/or entrepreneurial experience in areas related to startup, angel or venture capital investing, business model development or the lean startup methodology, and/or social ventures and impact investing; and a combination of consulting and/or professional experiences engaging with clients in innovation, organizational change, problem solving, design, or idea generation projects from a variety of industries, organizations, and/or disciplines.
