Position Details
The Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Texas Christian University (TCU) invites applications and nominations for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank within the Neeley School of Business. The successful candidate will begin employment in August, 2025.
Description
Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate significant accomplishments in both teaching and research in entrepreneurship. Primary responsibilities will include performing high quality teaching and publishing entrepreneurship research in premier journals. Collegiality and a demonstrated ability to work with others are important. The teaching load and salary are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and will be determined in consultation with the dean.

In recent years, the department's programs have been ranked in the top 25 by U.S. News & World Report, Princeton Review/Entrepreneur Magazine, Forbes, and Business Insider. The department's primary academic programs include an undergraduate business major and minor in entrepreneurship and innovation, and an MBA emphasis in entrepreneurship and innovation. These programs are supported by a number of co-curricular activities offered through the TCU Neeley Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, including the Values and Ventures Business Plan Competition, Shaddock Seed Fund, Entrepreneurial Intern Scholars Program, and Entrepreneurship Club. Our faculty regularly publish in, and have editorial roles on, leading entrepreneurship journals (e.g., Journal of Business Venturing, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice) and general management journals (e.g., Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Management).
Neeley School of Business
The Neeley School of Business is comprised of six academic departments including Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, Management and Leadership, Finance, and Marketing. The TCU Neeley School of Business has a current enrollment of 3,216 undergraduate students and 407 graduate students, 215 faculty and staff, and approximately 24,595 alumni. The Neeley School is proud to be fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) for our undergraduate and graduate programs.
The Neeley School of Business has been nationally ranked in several outlets, including 25th by Poets and Quants in their recent rankings of Best Undergraduate Business Programs. The MBA program has been ranked 32nd by Wall Street Journal/Time Higher Education and 42nd in the U.S. by Bloomberg Businessweek, and ranked 2nd for MBA Faculty Quality. TCU
Founded in 1873, TCU sits on 299 acres nestled in a primarily residential part of Fort Worth, just minutes away from downtown. The University includes eight schools and colleges, in addition to the John V. Roach Honors College and the TCU School of Medicine.

Fort Worth is known for its vast array of cultural, educational and entertainment opportunities. The city boasts three world class art museums-the Kimbell Art Museum, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. The Bass Performance Hall is one of the premier performance venues in the country. Concerts, film festivals and other events are held regularly at Sundance Square, Panther Island and Near Southside venues. Fort Worth also boasts a number of outdoor amenities, including lakes, hiking, and the Trinity Trails, which is over 100 miles of connected walking and biking paths throughout the city. The area is also home to several of the country's highest rated public and private school systems. Fort Worth is ranked #4 by Sperling's Best Places as a best city to relocate.
Application Requirements and Instructions
An earned Ph.D. (or strong evidence of completion of Ph.D. before employment start date) in entrepreneurship or a closely related area. Demonstrated ability to publish in high-quality academic journals in entrepreneurship. Demonstrated ability to teach entrepreneurship courses and evidence of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Excellent interpersonal communication skills including verbal and written, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising, and counseling skills.
