    Dear Colleagues,

Please join us in Seattle for an exciting PDW entitled: "Interdisciplinary Conversations on Platforms: Design, Governance, and Evolution" sponsored by the TIM Division. The event will take place in person only, on Saturday, August 6 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Participating in the second part of the workshop (roundtable paper discussions) requires a brief application. Please find additional details below.

Workshop objectives: Leveraging the growth and increasing disciplinary diversity of platform research, this workshop seeks to encourage future research on platforms that bridges disciplines, and inspires novel approaches to studying some of the most challenging and unresolved issues facing platformed organizations. To these ends, Part I of the workshop will provide participants with exposure to some of the most cutting edge platform research through two panel discussions on platform design (Panel 1), and platform governance (Panel 2), with platform evolution topics built into both panel discussions. These panels consist of a diverse group of leading scholars from innovation, strategy, information systems, organization theory, economics, and entrepreneurship. Part II of the workshop will provide authors of research in progress the opportunity to receive feedback and discuss their work in small groups.

Confirmed panelists: Sabine Brunswicker (Purdue University), Carmelo Cennamo (Copenhagen Business School), Øystein Fjeldstad (BI Norwegian Business School), Tobias Kretschmer (LMU Munich), Milan Miric (USC Marshall School of Business), Mareike Möhlmann (Bentley University), Joost Rietveld (UCL School of Management), Pinar Ozcan (Oxford University), and Juan Santaló (IE University).

Format: Part I will last about 2.5 hours and dedicated to the two panel discussions of 75 minutes each including Q&A with the audience. Part II will consist of roundtable paper discussions of about 1.5 hours.

    Registration
    Part I – Panel Discussions
