Join Us Friday at AoM for an In-Depth Exploration of the Macro-Environmental Drivers of Entrepreneurship!

We are excited to invite you to join an In-Person PDW on Friday, Aug 5: "External Enablement of Entrepreneurial Action and Outcomes: Current Thinking and Future Directions."

    Advance registration is not required.

Capsule:  No entrepreneur acts in a vacuum – and neither do scholars! All Academy members are invited to bring their ideas, questions, arguments, and curiosity to this exploration of the manner in which macro-environmental changes -- dubbed "external enablers," by Davidsson, Recker and Von Briel -- exert influence upon micro-level entrepreneurial actions and outcomes. As scholars, we all regularly witness the dynamic, dramatic impact of macro-level forces -- technology, regulations, culture, economics, politics, demographics, and the natural-environment -- but making sense of these influences and fashioning publishable research that makes this exciting macro-micro connection can be daunting. Veterans of the EE research, as well as newcomers to the stream, will have equal opportunity to immerse themselves in the collegial debate and development of new research questions, conceptual gaps, compelling data, and fresh methodological approaches. Small group interaction will allow attendees to share insights and gain valuable feedback on early-stage ideas for EE-related research.
