Are you a doctoral candidate or student working on or thinking about your dissertation? This is the last call for applicants for the second part of this PDW!

Join us for the Methodological Bricolage: Using Multiple Methods in Dissertation Work PDW at AOM in Seattle on August 5th from 8am to 10am PST.

This PDW intends to catalyze a conversation around the use and misuse of mixed method designs in dissertation research, including matching data sources, collection and analyses to research questions, potential synergies and complementarities, the assumptions associated with combining methods, and how to present the set of methodological decisions and moves made to defend the use of mixed methods.

The PDW will consist of 2 parts:
    1. Part 1: Panel discussion of esteemed speakers (Don Bergh, Kevin Corley, Denis Gregoire, Alanna Hirshman, Elaine Hollensbe, Jessica Jones, and Ryan Raffaelli) regarding the methods they used in their dissertation, advice for how to manage multiple methodologies, and potential considerations to consider.
      • Participants in the first part of the PDW will be able to ask questions to the panelists
      • This part of the PDW will be open to both in-person and online participants
    2. Part 2: Accepted PDW Applicants will break into sub-groups and discuss their pre-submitted work with our speakers.
      • The panelists will rotate once to help stimulate new conversation in the breakouts.
      • Due to the nature of the roundtable discussions, only those attending in-person will be able to join the pre-submitted roundtable portion.
To sign up for the 2nd part of the PDW, Participants will need to fill out the form located here: https://forms.gle/P5JseEcsaSMmBmtt5 before end of day August 2nd.

    All the best,
