The Geneva/Fribourg Entrepreneurship World Forum is a premier event offering guidance, training, and networking opportunities to small businesses and entrepreneurs.

We are convening to support and honor the resilient small business and entrepreneurial community, coinciding with the MSME Day Celebration at the United Nations.

Switzerland, renowned for its innovation and top-ranking country competitiveness, boasts a rich history, exemplary political governance, neutrality, creative entrepreneurship, and a focus on education for its populace. Moreover, Switzerland possesses one of Europe's highest percentages of foreigners (25.8%), with international connections pivotal for its economic development. Fribourg, centrally located in Switzerland, epitomizes this journey. Founded in 1291, this bilingual (French, German) city, with its university established in 1889, has always thrived in a unique educational environment with a multicultural perspective.

The entrepreneurial ecosystem in and around Fribourg revolves around small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), complemented by globally recognized companies such as Nestlé (including brands Nespresso and Cailler), Villars-Holding, UCB Farchim, Scott Sports, Johnson Electric International, Meggitt, Richemont/Cartier, and Rolex. This blend fosters a "think local, act global" ethos.

Established in 1991, the School of Management Fribourg (HEG-FR) was founded to bolster this ecosystem.
