Entrepreneurship Division Late-Career Consortium (Session 21665 – Open to all divisions)

Saturday, 1-4 pm, Hyatt Skyway 260

The Entrepreneurship Division's Late-Career Consortium is one of the few AOM events targeting those members 15 years or more post-PhD. Open to people from all Divisions, we try to help attendees explore possibilities available for later career faculty members, manage the new demands of this career stage and identify ways to continue to grow professionally later in one's career along with substantial time to network with peers and experts. For 2024, presenters and topics include Kelly Shaver (Charleston): How to become an Investor, Kathy Lund Dean (Gustavus Adolphus): Seeing inside the honeycomb, or a seasoned academic's guide to creatively managing workplace issues, George Saridakis (Kent): Managerial Leadership Roles in Academia: How, Why, and What, Matt Allen (Manchester Metropolitan): Combining Research and Leadership, Jerome Katz (Saint Louis): Planning for Your Legacies and a discussion about ethical issues for late-career faculty facilitated by the AOM's Ethics Committee. Pre-registration is not required, but attendance letters can be provided if needed.  Questions? Contact Matthew Allen (Matthew.Allen@mmu.ac.uk) or Jerome Katz (jerome.katz@slu.edu).
