Considering writing a special issue proposal for a top entrepreneurship journal?

Please join us at the upcoming PDW during the 2024 AOM Annual Meeting titled "Crafting Special Issue Proposals for Top Entrepreneurship Journals" on Friday August 9th, 3:00pm to 5:00pm, at the Hyatt-Picasso, Concourse level, West Tower.

This PDW is sponsored by the Entrepreneurship Division and promises to help you understand the rules and mechanics for developing a strong proposal for a special issue in journals like ETP, JBV, JSBM, SBEJ, or SEJ. Seasoned editors will be present, including Thomas Allison, Richard Hunt, Sarah Jack, Moren Lévesque, Jeff Pollack, Maija Renko, Johan Wiklund, and Trenton Williams.

    What comes first?

To participate please pre-register at https://forms.gle/JANniF9gDuhfNqe69. If you would also like to pitch an idea for a special issue proposal for an entrepreneurship journal, please prepare a maximum 500-word summary and submit to t.allison@tcu.edu, or on the pre-registration link above, no later than July 1st, 2024. We recommend that you pre-register, though it is not compulsory to participate in this workshop. This PDW is a great opportunity for all scholars, from the more junior to the more senior.

    What comes second?

Those with pre-selected ideas will be contacted by July 15th, 2024, and be offered to pitch during this PDW their special issue proposal to a panel of editors who will pose questions and offer constructive comments.

    What comes third?

Whether you were pre-selected to pitch, or not, all participants with special issue ideas will have the opportunity to advance the discussion under the guidance of an editor.

This PDW thus promises to deliver a high quality and high-level learning experience to open the 'black box' of what it takes to submit winning special issue proposals for top entrepreneurship journals. Interactions among participants also offers a great opportunity to collaborate on promising entrepreneurship topics.

Don't miss this highly collaborative opportunity!
