All are welcome to join us at the 10th Sustainability, Ethics & Entrepreneurship (SEE) Conference and Consortium 2023 - Mar 3-5, 2023 - San Juan, Puerto Rico, USA

    Opening Symposium:

Researching Civic Wealth Creation: Insights from Qualitative and Quantitative Studies across Contexts

Tom Lumpkin (University of Tennessee); Sophie Bacq (Indiana University); Ryan Bailey (University of Oklahoma); Elena Dowin Kennedy (Elon University); Eduardo Meléndez (University of Oklahoma); Rossella Rocchino (Technical University Munich)

Civic wealth creation (CWC) has become an increasingly useful framework for understanding and interpreting social entrepreneurship and sustainability phenomena. In this symposium, five scholars who are conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses of CWC experiences will present preliminary results from their data. The findings-which include insights from rural villages in Italy and the southeastern US, participants in football associations and the Slow Food movement, and cross firm-collaborations within 25 countries and 28 industries-highlight the relationships among the four types of wealth (social, communal, economic, civic) and the role of mechanisms (collaborative innovation, engaged participation, resource mobilization) in contributing to CWC.

The SEE Society invites scholars and practitioners to share their research ideas at the 10th SEE Conference and Consortium this winter in Puerto Rico. Since 2012, the SEE Conference has become one of the world's premier academic conferences on social, environmental, and sustainable entrepreneurship; business ethics; firm-community ties; prosocial action; impact investment; and corporate responsibility. The SEE Conference program will feature distinguished scholars, a range of parallel paper sessions, and symposia, in a tropical resort setting. The conference advances SEE-related research and practice. www.seeconf.org

Catering to early-stage research, the SEE is interested in radical, controversial, and "edgy" projects; novel, useful, and non-obvious research that challenges dogmas and is highly revelatory, even if not fully grounded in well-validated theory.  SEE2023 sessions afford open-ended discussions that are not available elsewhere.
