    Gender, Diversity and Sustainability: An Enterprising Perspective

    Editors: Owalla, B., Nziku, D., Althalathini, D., Vorley, T. and Abdul Rahman, S.

    This edited book collection that is expected to be published by Edward Elgar will bring together contributions from around the globe to provide thought leadership and comprehensive insights on the interlinking dimensions of gender, diversity and sustainability from an enterprise perspective.
    It includes a focus on understanding the interplay between innovative technologies, gender and sustainable entrepreneurship. It also has a focus on policy and practice providing insights on initiatives and best practices to facilitate founders' sustainability efforts around the globe. 

    Book chapters will explore, but are not limited to, areas such as:

    ·         understanding gendered aspects of sustainable entrepreneurship in different contexts; 

    ·         examining how sustainable practices are aligned with business strategies and sustainability goals; 

    ·         role of digital technologies in impacting business growth and sustainability; 

    ·         analysing gender-related issues crucial for developing effective environmental/ sustainability policies. 

    We welcome contributions (conceptual, qualitative, quantitative) from different disciplines that engage with the book's key themes, while providing insights and recommendations for policy and practice. Proposals for chapters in other areas that are an appropriate fit with the overall themes of the book are also encouraged. 

    Important Dates

    Important dates:

    ·       Submission of chapter abstracts (250-500 words) outlining aim, research questions, methodology and expected contribution by 1st September 2024 

    ·       Notification of accepted book chapter proposal by 15th October 2024 

    ·       The first draft of a chapter (5000 words maximum) is due by 1st February 2025 

    ·       Chapter authors receive reviews with feedback by 30th April 2025

    ·       Final revised chapter for publication due by 1st July 2025

    ·       Submission of final manuscripts to the publisher by 1st October 2025 

    ·       The anticipated publication schedule is February/March 2026
