We invite you to join a virtual Caucus session on Transitional Entrepreneurship on Sunday August 7th, 9.45-12.15 pm (PDT, GMT -7) at the AOM annual conference.
The session focuses on research among groups for whom entrepreneurship was a route to transition from one stage of life to another. For e.g., military personnel who use entrepreneurship to transition to civilian life. Other such groups typically include immigrants, refugees, women, incarcerated individuals, and minorities. Individuals from each of these groups face unique adversities in launching their ventures that are not addressed by local entrepreneurial ecosystems.
The session will include discussion about state of research in this domain, applicable theories, data sets, and opportunities for future work. We welcome scholars and policy makers interested in research on transitional entrepreneurship and developing solutions to challenges faced by such entrepreneurs.
Further, we hope that you consider submitting your work to the parallel effort at the New England Journal of Entrepreneurship Special Issue on Transitional Entrepreneurship. The deadline is August 15, 2022. For more information about this SI-NEJE please see this link: https://www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com/calls-for-papers/transitional-entrepreneurship
