7th International Workshop: Entrepreneurship, Culture, Finance And Economic Development

Starts:  Jun 22, 2020 08:00 (CET)
Ends:  Jun 23, 2020 18:00 (CET)
Associated with  Entrepreneurship (ENT)
Research on entrepreneurship, culture, finance and their impact on economic development has reached an outstanding level thanks to hundreds of scientists around the world, contributing to a better understanding of these interrelated phenomena. However, despite the growing number of studies, we do not fully know how entrepreneurship is conceived, fostered and maintained in different cultural, political and financial conditions. Many studies have shown that history matters, and a number of past processes are being pursued, especially in the case of extensive cultural heritage. That said, the way we understand and address the issues is noticeably enhanced by considering, debating, and confronting our existing knowledge and what our peers are doing. For fundamental, true, scientific progress, we need deep and constructive exchanges. The Seventh Entrepreneurship, Culture, Finance and Economic Development – ECFED International Workshop is specifically designed to facilitate high level, high intensity discussion and fruitful exchange between scholars involved in entrepreneurship research. The number of participants is limited in order to support strong individual participation, the development of convivial relations
and the wide feedback from the peer audience.

Preceded by the first, held at the University of Caen Normandy, France, in June 2008, the second, held at the University of Cartagena, Spain, in June 2010, the third held in Belgium at the University of Namur, in June 2012, the fourth held in Austria at the Alpen-Adria University  Klagenfurt, in July 2014, the fifth held in Lyon at the University Lumière France, in June 2016, and the sixth held in Santander at the University of Cantabria in Spain, in June 2018, the eventh Entrepreneurship, Culture, Finance and Economic Development International Workshop will take place in Lublin, Poland, at the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, on June 22nd–23rd, 2020. It will be organized in accordance with the above principles. We expect a tremendous forum to discuss recent, original research conducted on entrepreneurship and small business.
