Kim Eddleston and I are organizing the 2019 2018 AOM Entrepreneurship Division Late Career Consortium, and we would love to hear from ENT Division members.

We plan to use last year's format, with multiple tables and multiple rounds, so everyone can find a few things of interest. Three tables we already have includeJulio De Castro speaking about "Mentoring and Developing Faculty", Michael Arthur speaking about "Writing Articles for the Popular Press," and Gloria Barczak speaking about "The Pinnacle of your Career: Becoming a Journal Editor." If you have ideas for topics you'd like to hear about, please let us know.  We still have space for more topics:

Along those lines, below are a few topics we've been batting around, but we don't have speakers for yet:

    • Doing blogs/tv/radio,
    • Issues in pursuing phased retirement,
    • How to get on boards of directors,
    • How to get involved with SCORE/SBDCs/etc.,
    • Pursuing trade book contracts,
    • Writing op-ed articles.

If you can step up on these, let us know. On the other hand:

    • If you have a topic you'd like to offer for 2019, getting a paragraph on it would be wonderful.
    • If you've heard someone talk about a relevant topic, or anything that might be of interest to late-career academics, please tell us.

BTW, if there are any of last year's topics that you think should be brought back, please let us know. With our design for the sessions, we can have a mix of old and new topics for returning and new participants.

We will also be keeping the facilitator role to let speakers focus on speaking and keeping everything on track. If you're interested in that role, let us know.

Please get us your thoughts, suggestions, nominations, or referrals by Sunday, December 23rd Think of it as your holiday present to the ENT Division. It will sure be one to us.

Thanks for your consideration. Have a good Holiday Season and break.

    Kim and Jerry
