Utrecht University School of Economics is inviting applications for two Tenure Track positions at the Assistant Professor level, in Strategy and Entrepreneurship. We are looking for candidates with a potential to build a record of excellence both in research and teaching. Candidates should have a doctorate degree or be in their final year of dissertation research.
The Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.) in general and the Entrepreneurship section in particular take pride in their high-performance research culture. Faculty members publish in top tier journals like the American Economic Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Finance, Journal of Management, and Journal of Business Venturing. We have key positions in major global academic communities such as the Global Entrepreneurship Research Association and the Global Entrepreneurship Network and sit on the editorial boards of the leading entrepreneurship journals Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Small Business Economics.
Research in the section engages in various academic debates regarding business development, entrepreneurship and strategy. Examples include entrepreneurial ecosystems, social entrepreneurship, sustainable finance, open- and user innovation, crowdsourcing, intrapreneurship, platform-based business models, the sharing economy, corporate organization and management, and more.

U.S.E. offers a tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor for six years, after which the candidate can be appointed as an Associate Professor with tenure. During the tenure track period 50% of the position is reserved for research and 50% is dedicated to teaching activities. The tenure decision is based on U.S.E.'s tenure track criteria regarding research and teaching. The gross salary – depending on previous qualifications and experience - ranges between €3,637 and €4,978 (scale 11 according to the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities) per month for a full-time employment. Salaries are supplemented with a holiday bonus of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3% per year. We offer a pension scheme, collective insurance schemes and flexible employment conditions (multiple choice model).
