As you might be aware of, we are in the midst of organizing 2019 IFERA conference in
Bergamo (18th-21st June).
We were fortunate enough to have Jay Barney among the scholars accepting to join us in
Bergamo as Keynote Speaker.
We are also organizing an
AMR workshop, under the title "
Advancing theory on enterprising families (and beyond)" (call for paper is attached), the day before the conference (17th June).
Our goal is to attract a good number of submissions who are interested in advancing theory on enterprising families and/or extending management theories more generally by using families and family firms as distintive and important context. We want to host a great workshop on family business, entrepreneurship in family firms and enterprising families, also including papers that are adjacent to these topics, but with a broader scope (such as households, social capital and family ties in entrepreneurial ventures; or other issues like non-economic goals, stakeholder engagement and multipurpose strategies in entrepreneurial firms, just to name a few). We would also welcome papers from scholars in other fields like OT, OB, sociology, psychology – without forgetting general management, strategy and entrepreneurship.
We believe a world-class
PDW could give room to a debate that, for example through dialogues and manuscripts, could generate strong submissions for
AMR itself.
If you are interested in submitting a paper, the deadline is April 15th, through the IFERA conference website.
