    Tenure-Track Faculty Position

    College of Business and Economics,  Department of Management 

    Position

    Assistant Professor of Management

    Starting Date:

    August, 2019 

    Minimum Qualifications:

    1) An earned PhD. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Strategic Management from an AACSB accredited institution is required; however, applicants nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) may be considered.  For appointment, the doctorate must be completed by the date of appointment (8/19/2019).

    2) Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

    3) Evidence of publications in scholarly journals.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1) Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the graduate level.

    2) Evidence of expertise in a closely-related discipline.

    Duties:  

    The primary professional responsibilities of instructional faculty members are: teaching, research, scholarship and/or creative activity, and service to the University, profession and to the community.  These responsibilities generally include: advising students, participation in campus and system-wide committees, maintaining office hours, working collaboratively and productively with colleagues, and participation in traditional academic functions.

    Salary:

    Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    The Department of Management faculty come from varied academic and professional backgrounds, maintain their Scholarly Academic (SA) status by AACSB standards, and are flexible in their teaching preferences across management domains. Many of our faculty members chart their own paths in specialized business teaching and research, and we produce and appreciate a wide spectrum of scholarship.
