James March and Herbert Simon's (1958) 'Organizations' is one of the most influential contributions to the social sciences. Many of the innovations often attributed to Cyert and March (bounded rationality, aspirations, routines, etc.) or other social and management scholars actually appeared in March and Simon's book. To celebrate its sixtieth anniversary, this PDW evaluates and explicates the continuing relevance of this work in various fields of management and organization studies. The PDW combines current research related to 'Organizations' with historical comments of scholars who have studied and worked in this vein for decades.
The PDW will also provide an opportunity for you to take part in roundtable discussions generating new research ideas.
We hope you can join us! You do not have to preregister for this PDW.
