New Opportunity for Emerging Scholars (PhD Students and Assistant/Associate Professors who Received PhD after 2010)

Thanks to the Kauffman Foundation and Senior Scholars from entrepreneurship, our division of AOM has organized a paper development session for emerging scholars!  This arose partially out of the success we have had with students in the doctoral consortium and the many senior scholars who participated over the years in that program.  This year we can extend this opportunity to 30 Emerging Scholars (7 years from PhD).

In this paper development session, Emerging Scholars will have the opportunity to meet with a Senior Scholar who has read your work, is willing to help with the paper, and can provide other mentoring advice!  This event occurs on Saturday, August 11 from 1:30 to 3:30 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, Crystal A.

Space is limited and in order to be accepted we need a full commitment that, if selected, you will attend.  Senior scholars have arranged their schedules to be able to attend this event and we want to be very considerate of their time.  To be considered, please send an email inclusive of the following information to Dawn DeTienne, Program Chair, dawn.detienne@colostate.edu (with "Emerging Scholar" in the subject line):

    • Your complete contact information
    • A short paragraph (3-5 sentences) indicating why you believe participating in this event will assist your career
    • A manuscript you are working on
    • A statement in the email indicating you will attend
