The Department of Business Administration in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware invites applications for a tenure-track position in Management, with a focus on strategic management. The beginning date for the position is August 2024.
Candidates must possess a Ph.D in Management and pursue a high-quality research program with the objective of publishing in top-tier management journals, such as Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, and Strategic Management Journal. Research support in the department is excellent, including a one-semester, third-year research sabbatical; a large, computerized behavioral lab; a departmental subject pool; the availability of research and teaching assistants; access to databases (e.g., WRDS); and opportunities to apply for research grants.
Candidates must also demonstrate potential for high-quality teaching. Primary teaching responsibility is in strategic management and corporate strategy, at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. The teaching load will initially be three courses per year, and junior faculty are given minimal service requirements.
