    Dear Colleagues,

I wish you have made a great start with new Academic Year. Wisdom Studio has started releasing a new series of episodes tackling University Loneliness. You are welcome to share these resources with your students, colleagues and others.

Wisdom Studio Tackles University Loneliness: How Emotional Intelligence Can Help

Loneliness impedes university students' well-being, academic success, and retention. COB Organizational Wisdom Studio features a series of comedy films exploring how emotionally intelligent leadership can help preventing university loneliness. This episode features "The One Who Could", produced by Sacramento State students in Human Resources Management, Team HR. Utilizing insights from Path-Goal Leadership Theory, the film explores how emotional intelligence can help a university professor to become a supportive leader to enable a lonely student move from loneliness to courage. The film also illustrates how creating "moments of courage" can help students prevent from getting into cycles of loneliness.

In a subsequent commentary session, Dr. Ryan Fuller from the Colleges of Business joins program cohosts Elisabeth Nunziato and Dr. Hakan Ozcelik to provide insights.

With a mission to create societal impact, COB Organizational Wisdom Studio aims to translate academic research for larger society with an interdisciplinary focus along with artistic creativity. The "Wisdom Studio" series, produced with support from the Provost's Office at Sacramento State University, intends to serve as a psychological resource for employees, students, and the larger society in their efforts to enhance their health, happiness, and performance.
