    Application Deadline: May 29, 2025

[Note: Time is subject to AOM's scheduling approval and will be confirmed in Spring 2025]

The STR Dissertation Consortium is intended for those PhD students who are in the advanced stages of their programs and who are considering the job market during the 2025-2026 academic year (i.e., for faculty positions that begin in Fall 2026). The focus of the STR Dissertation Consortium will be on providing participating students with an opportunity to discuss their job market papers and 'elevator pitches' about their research identity in small groups with distinguished faculty and peers for high-quality, developmental feedback. We will also be using breakout groups during coffee breaks to facilitate student networking.

The co-chairs of the 2025 Dissertation Consortium are Seth Carnahan (Washington University) and Vera Rocha (Copenhagen Business School). The faculty panel includes (by last name in alphabetic order): Arzi Adbi (National University of Singapore), Shahzad (Shaz) Ansari (Cambridge Judge Business School), Rocio Bonet (IE Madrid), Linus Dahlander (ESMT Berlin), Anne Jacqueminet (Bocconi), Olenka Kacperczyk (London Business School), Megan Lawrence (Vanderbilt University), Johannes Luger (University of Zurich), Milan Miric (USC Marshall), Leandro (Leo) Pongeluppe (Wharton), Maria Roche (Harvard Business School),Victoria Sevcenko (INSEAD), Giovanni Valentini (IESE), Danqing Wang (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology).

Priority for admission to the 2025 Dissertation Consortium will be given to students who: (1) have completed drafts of their job market papers, and (2) have not previously attended the STR Doctoral Consortium. However, any doctoral student who is considering entering the job market and graduate during the 2025-2026 academic year (and who is not applying to the 2025 Doctoral Consortium) may apply. We intend to cover how to maneuver the challenges and considerations of the job market, crafting your elevator pitch, and also focus on providing developmental feedback for the publication process on student job market papers.

Interested students should apply via the application website (link below) no later than May 29, 2025. All applicants will be notified of admission decisions by the end of June 2025.
