We would like to invite you to the second edition of our panel symposium.
New Trends in Entrepreneurial Finance Research
Tuesday, Aug 13 | 1:15 - 2:45 PM | Hyatt Skyway 272
Recent developments in the entrepreneurial finance landscape have disrupted how, when, and with what ease entrepreneurs search for and attract equity capital. Investors and entrepreneurs, for instance, are increasingly addressing societal grand challenges in their investment and organizational decision-making. While considerations related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors have traditionally been entrenched in public equity markets, private investors such as venture capital (VC), angel, and crowdfund investors are now integrating these considerations into their assessments of entrepreneurial ventures. Furthermore, the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the processes through which investors identify, select, contribute value to, and exit ventures, while entrepreneurs leverage AI to enhance their ability to attract and select investors. This panel symposium aims to guide researchers by analyzing these revolutionary trends and their potential impact on future studies, in conversation with leading scholars.
