Mid-Career Consortium of Entrepreneurship Division at 2025 Academy of Management Annual Meeting

Saturday, July 26, 2025, 9:00AM to 12:00PM (tentative)

This exciting 3-hour event will help Entrepreneurship scholars who have earned tenure and promotion to navigate post-tenure pathways and are ready to craft the next stage of their careers. The consortium will be highly interactive, providing an incredible opportunity to interact with some of the leading experts of the Entrepreneurship Division

Potential topics of discussion tailored to ENT mid-career faculty:

-Post-tenure pathways and trade offs
-Balancing (the art of juggling)
-Teaching in general
-Teaching action-based entrepreneurship courses
-Research: keep pumping A journals post-tenure
-Research: more on conducting relevant/useful research
-Service: general admin (committees, head, etc.)
-Entrepreneurship-specific services (directing entrepreneurship centers, etc.)
-Industrial engagement
-Doing your own startups (with students, alumni, tech researchers, etc)
-Generating endowment (in particular from entrepreneurs)
-Post-tenure job market and moves
