Presentations by Emerging Scholars & Practitioners
Following the keynote discussion, four emerging researchers and practitioners will present their work.
Their presentations will cover topics related to the conference theme from the perspectives of information systems, marketing, and economics.
Additionally, a representative from Kyoto's local government will speak about the creator economy in Kyoto.
Why This Topic Matters Now
In Japan, the term "推し活" (Oshi-katsu, or fan-driven support activities) became a buzzword a few years ago, reflecting the growing prominence of the fan economy.
Kyoto, in particular, is not only home to a rich cultural heritage shaped over centuries but also hosts major companies in anime and gaming, such as Nintendo and Kyoto Animation.
This conference will provide an opportunity to discuss not just the present state of these emerging economies but also their historical roots and future prospects-all from Kyoto, a city deeply connected to both tradition and innovation.
We warmly invite you to join us!
