Are you researching how individuals within organizations drive positive social and environmental change? Join us at EGOS 2025 to explore the role of insider social change agents in tackling urgent societal challenges.
We invite contributions that leverage diverse theoretical lenses, including but not limited to:
• Social-symbolic work
• Hybrid organizing
• Occupations
• Paradox theory
Our sub-theme aims to advance knowledge in key areas such as:
• Micro-CSR
• Employee activism
• Employee resource groups
• Social intrapreneurship
We encourage submissions addressing critical questions, for example:
• How are internal change efforts aimed at positive social change coopted or inhibited?
• What factors lock insider social change efforts in recurring patterns of small wins?
• How do insider social change agents and processes across areas align for broader impact?
• When and how do insider social change efforts reach tipping points?
We welcome qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches across all areas of insider social change agency research. Submissions for short papers (3,000 words inc. references) are now open until Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Accepted authors are expected to submit a full paper (approx. 20–25 pages) by June 15, 2025.
📅 Colloquium dates: July 3-5, 2025
