The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applicants for an assistant professor (tenure-track) faculty position in entrepreneurship. Experience in and deep knowledge of entrepreneurs and technological entrepreneurship, as well as starting new ventures and family-own businesses, is desirable. Familiarity with experimental and research methods would also be a plus. Preferred candidates will have an entrepreneurship-focused research agenda at the micro level. The position will also align with the Rensselaer's Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship (https://eship.rpi.edu/) and the Office of Strategic Alliances and Translation (https://osat.rpi.edu/).
Candidates must have a PhD degree from an accredited university by the employment start date, along with demonstrated evidence of producing original and innovative scholarly work, preferably with publications in premier business journals. We are particularly seeking candidates with demonstrated potential and commitment to effective teaching in our graduate and undergraduate courses in basic and advanced topics in management and entrepreneurship, as well as provide service to the Lally School of Management and to Rensselaer. Successful candidates will teach under the normal teaching load of 2-2. We are expanding the Lally School's renowned entrepreneurship teaching and research portfolios. The Lally School of Management provides an intellectually stimulating and collaborative environment for inter-disciplinary scholarly contributions with support for research, teaching, and service.
