Research mega-workshop on entrepreneurial ecosystems
It is AoM time again! And in Copenhagen! With the best and brightest and the best newer voices!
My brilliant co-organizer, Maribel Guerrero, and I have already reached out to many of the past participants and we have 30 of you worthies already signed up as formal participants. If you have responded already, thank you! But this PDW workshop has always been a large, eclectic group from six continents and at least 30 countries [still looking for a delegate from Antarctica ;) ]
Imagine a PDW with passionate firestarters, not talking heads. Imagine that and most of your time spent in breakout groups around key themes. You, talking to each other, developing research ideas, answering each others' questions, and... making new friends. We always work to get the voices of practice, policy, and especially entrepreneurs into these conversations. Maribel and I are so proud of the great facilitators who always ensure everyone gets to talk. These workshops have generated new work and new partnerships; If you attended in the past, would you share your outcomes?
Based on feedback from you, our 4 breakout themes for 2025 are:
Growth (e.g., how ecosystems help/impede scaling, etc.)
Geography (e.g., cross-national studies, global connectivity, etc.)
Green (not just sustainability, time to broaden the lens?)
Governance (e.g., policy issues) and...
We are again pitching the idea of an "unconference" track – if AoM2025 isn't using a theme, maybe we should keep the door open for other ideas.
