Administrative Science Quarterly (ASQ) is launching a Substack newsletter to better communicate with our community of scholars and readers interested in the latest news about organization theory and management. By subscribing, you'll be among the first to know when ASQ is hosting an upcoming online event, updating our submission guidelines, welcoming new editorial members, or sharing thoughts about trends in our field.

ASQ was founded in 1956 by James Thompson. Its history meshes with the very history of the field, and the journal has been at the field's forefront since its origins. Thompson's vision was to create a channel to push the horizon of administration. This progress has taken place thanks to the collective effort of a global network of authors, editors, and reviewers, as well as research participants, proofreaders, technical staff, funding bodies, assistants, colleagues, etc.
While these contributors are the backbone of the journal, there have been limited opportunities to interact, exchange ideas, and build connections beyond the formal publishing process. Therefore, this newsletter is part of the journal's broader initiative to enhance engagement, strengthen ties, and expand this vital network.
The newsletters will be published more or less monthly. They will provide information on new issues, significant events such as conferences and online sessions, and notable developments within the journal and our field. In addition to an overview of the latest issue and important announcements, they will feature commentary on topics related to the journal and the broader landscape of management and organization theory.
The first newsletter is scheduled for release in early September. We would be thrilled if you joined us by clicking here to reach our Substack page and choosing to subscribe. And please feel free to share this invitation with any colleagues who might be interested!
