Join Us for ISA's Virtual Conference!
    June 4-5, 2020; 11-2:30pm ET both days
    Dear All,

As nations, states, cities, and towns work towards safe reopening of their economies, one thing is clear. Industry is the right lens for examining the impact of COVID-19 and the right focus for specific reopening plans.

Join a community of researchers that possesses deep knowledge of the strategies, innovations, structural features, and management practices of different industries - the Industry Studies Association (ISA) - at our first virtual conference. Check out our unique mix of stimulating sessions with excellent speakers on Thursday June 4 and Friday June 5 from 11am to 2:30pm. See below and click here for the full program.

Thank you - we look forward to meeting you virtually on June 4-5!

    John Paul MacDuffie
    President, ISA

    Why attend ISA's Virtual Conference?

Hear a report from members of MIT's "Work of the Future" initiative, at a time when fears about robots displacing humans are soaring, especially in a job market currently racked by high unemployment.

Meet two authors of best-selling books that highlight current industry-grounded problems:
Katherine Eban for "Bottle of Lies" -- on erratic and poor manufacturing quality for generic pharmaceuticals
Mary Gray for "Ghost Work" – tasks invisibly performed to sustain our most frequently-used Internet applications via gig jobs done all over the world by individuals in precarious economic conditions.

Watch as staffers from Sen. Marco Rubio and Sen. Charles Schumer's offices debate whether the U.S. needs an industrial policy - perhaps now more than ever in the wake of COVID-19

Learn why ISA gatherings are the "favorite conference experience" for our members because of the rich sharing of research findings among a multi-disciplinary group of scholars united in their desire to get out in the field and learn how things actually work.

Meet ISA award winners and become intrigued by the backstory of their award-winning research project. (Tune in again on June 10th for a special webinar featuring those backstories.)

Sample the rich array of research being done by ISA members via parallel sessions organized by research tracks, e.g. Energy; Labor and Employment Relations; Health Care; Globalization; Operations and Supply Chain

Registration has purposefully been set to encourage and enable all of you to join us:

    $20 for association members,
    $55 for non-members
Free for all students, members or not

Register soon -- the conference is just one week away. Registrants will receive access to the conference attendee area where all the Zoom sessions will be held. We look forward to zooming with you on June 4-5!
