    CALL FOR AWARDS NOMINATIONS

    ComplianceNet

ComplianceNet is pleased to announce our paper awards designed to promote and highlight scholarly efforts in compliance (broadly defined as the interaction between legal rules and individual and organizational behavior).  We will have two paper awards: the Junior Paper Award, and the Senior Paper Award. See descriptions and submission information below.

    There are two requirements:

    1. Award winners must be/become members of ComplianceNet prior to receiving the award.
    2. They must commit to attend the 2020 ComplianceNet conference where they would receive the award. This conference will take place on June 29-30 at the University College London.

Deadline for receipt of materials is January 24, 2019

    1.  Junior Paper Award

The award recognizes scholarly work of junior scholars (PhD, Post-Doc, or pre-tenured faculty, all not over ten years after obtaining their PhD) in the broadly defined areas of compliance.  Junior scholars working by themselves or as part of a team of co-authors are eligible for the competition.  Paper submissions may be conceptual, theoretical and/or empirical (quantitative or qualitative). The project must be completed. That is, it must be a full paper that is either unpublished or has been published recently (since 2018).  The committee may elect not to make this award in any given year.

    2. Senior Paper Award

The award recognizes scholarly work of senior scholars (having obtained their PhD more than ten years ago) in the broadly defined areas of compliance.

    Submission Procedures

    1.  A letter of nomination that includes a brief discussion of your reasons for the recommendation. Self-nominations are welcome.

    2.  Where relevant to the award, a copy of the paper to be considered (electronic versions preferred).

    3.  Nominations will be reviewed by the ComplianceNet conveners, and winners must agree to make a short speech at the annual meeting of ComplianceNet, where the awards will be made.
