Assistant/Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship
Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, an AACSB accredited Jesuit/Catholic University, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at the Williams College of Business. Xavier University's Entrepreneurship program is ranked the 11th best undergraduate program for Entrepreneurship in the US (US News and World Report 2019).
The position, beginning in August 2019, entails teaching at the undergraduate and MBA levels in the field of Entrepreneurship, with preference given to those who have a secondary field of Strategic Management or Organizational Behavior (other areas, commensurate with our department domains, will be considered).With close ties to Cincinnati's business community, our Department provides education, training, and real-life business experiences to undergraduate, MBA and Executive MBA students in face-to-face and online formats. Experiential-based teaching is valued as class sizes are typically less than 30 students.
As a balanced school, Xavier faculty are expected to be excellent teachers and active scholars. Therefore, we are looking for candidates with demonstrated accomplishments and/or strong potential in teaching and scholarship. Candidates must hold a PhD in Management or a closely related field, or have the firm expectation of completing their PhD prior to starting at Xavier. The ideal candidate will also have practical business experience. Salary will be competitive. Teaching is a 3/3 load.
