    2019 Dissertation Award | Nominations Now Open!!


    The Industry Studies Association (ISA) is pleased to invite nominations for its 2019 Annual Dissertation Award competition. The goal of the award is to recognize and reward outstanding doctoral research in the area of industry studies. The award is accompanied by a $500 honorarium for first prize and a $250 honorarium for second prize. The award winner will be invited to attend the 2020 Industry Studies Association conference held in Boston, MA.     Nominations are due by December 15, 2019, but can be submitted at any time. At the time of the nomination, a nomination letter, an extended abstract, and a CV will be required. Nominations can be submitted here: Dissertation Award Nomination Form

    To be eligible for the competition, candidates must have completed a doctoral dissertation in economics, management, engineering, political science, sociology, or in a related or interdisciplinary field between September 1, 2018, and August 31, 2019. Candidates must have successfully defended their dissertations and received the final approval and all required sign-offs on their dissertation document by the August 31, 2019 date.

    2020 Industry Studies Association Annual Conference

    Come to MIT Sloan School's Samberg Center for the 2020 ISA Annual Conference, which will include two days of paper sessions, two plenaries, and a pre-conference Professional Development Workshop for early career scholars.
