Tenure-track Assistant Professor Position in Leadership
Expanding offerings in leadership is providing an exciting career opportunity within the Department of Management at Clemson University. Areas of expertise might include, but is not limited to strategic management, entrepreneurship, and/or organizational behavior. We are especially interested in applicants with a focus on international aspects of leadership, broadly defined.
We invite applications for one tenure track Assistant Professor position in leadership to begin in Fall 2020. We are seeking candidates who are committed to publishing high quality research in top journals that will impact the field, who can interact and work effectively with peers across the Management Department and teach leadership/management courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to teach at a high-level consistent with Clemson's College of Business standards. Salary, benefits, and teaching load are competitive.
The Department of Management is an academic unit within the College of Business. The Department has over 35 faculty members and offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with seven areas of emphasis, a Master of Science in Management, and a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Information Systems, Operations and Supply Chain management, and Strategy / Entrepreneurship / Organization Behavior. The Management department supports the MBA program, which includes leadership courses, as well as an active PhD program to which this position is expected to contribute. Over recent years, the Management group has consistently published in high-quality journals that include: Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Sciences Quarterly, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Leadership Quarterly, Organizational Research Methods, Organization Studies, Organization Science, and Personnel Psychology.
