    The John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University is seeking applications for a tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship at the Assistant Professor rank beginning in August 2022.
     
    The ideal candidate must be able to teach entrepreneurship courses and have the ability to conduct research with an emphasis on entrepreneurship. Responsibilities include instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and pursuing scholarly research. Faculty in entrepreneurship at WVU are expected to exhibit a strong potential to publish their research in high-quality outlets. Other responsibilities include service-related functions to the department, college, and university.

    The John Chambers College of Business and Economics (B&E) was founded in November of 1951 and in 1954, became fully accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. B&E offers a Bachelor of Science in Economics (BSE) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with nine majors: Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Business, Global Supply Chain Management, Hospitality & Tourism, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing. There are also three minor programs: Business Administration, Economics, and Entrepreneurial Studies. At the Master's level, B&E offers a Master of Business Administration (full-time and online hybrid), a Master of Science in Industrial Relations, a Master of Professional Accountancy, a Master of Science in Finance, a Master of Arts in Economics, a Master of Science in Business Data Analytics, a Master of Science in Forensic and Fraud Examination, and a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation. At the doctoral level, B&E offers a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics and a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration with majors in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing.     Qualifications
     

    A Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Management, or a closely related field with a focus on entrepreneurship is required by the time of appointment. Must have the ability to teach Entrepreneurship. The department is seeking candidates who have already earned a Ph.D. degree or will have completed their dissertation by August 1, 2022. Applicants must demonstrate expertise and potential for scholarly productivity and classroom excellence.
