Classes may be face-to-face or online. There is a possibility of teaching in international business based on candidate interest and college needs. The candidate will be expected to participate actively in the Ph.D. program.

About Washington State University: Founded in 1890 in Pullman, WSU is the state of Washington's land-grant institution and one of the country's top public research universities. WSU has an enrollment of over 31,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students and approximately 6,500 faculty and staff at its five campuses (Pullman, Spokane, Tri-Cities, Vancouver, and Everett), and online through its Global Campus. Unlike most multi-campus systems, WSU operates as an integrated university; thus, regardless of campus location, all MISE faculty are full members of the MISE department. The business curricula at all five campuses are accredited as one curriculum by the AACSB (AACSB accreditation was renewed for five years in 2019).

WSU is a premier research institution, ranked as a "very high research activity" (R1) by the Carnegie Foundation, with ambitions to grow. The university is currently pursuing its goal of becoming one of the nation's top 25 public research universities by 2030 through its "Drive to 25" or "D25" initiative. D25 is the University's highest strategic priority.

About Carson College of Business: The Carson College of Business (CCB) enrolls more than 2,500 undergraduate students and 1,200 online MBA and Executive MBA students combined. The Online MBA program is currently ranked 12th by Poets and Quants and 18th by U.S. News and World Report. The college has 92 full-time faculty across its campuses and 75 staff. WSU has a set goal to advance the college's commitment to diversity and multiculturalism with respect to research, teaching and community outreach, incorporating relevant programs, goals and activities. A strong global perspective is encouraged. The Carson College of Business has invested in a state-of-the-art Center for Behavioral Business Research (CBBR; opened in early 2010). To promote global awareness and capability for our students, the college also offers faculty-led study abroad programs in Belize, China, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Romania & Croatia, Spain Switzerland, and Thailand. Opportunities exist for participation in faculty-led study abroad programs.

The Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship provides an exceptional work environment with highly supportive colleagues actively engaged in research, teaching, and service. Entrepreneurship is a core strength of the department and is a top priority at the Carson College of Business and Washington State University where publishing in top entrepreneurship journals is rewarded. Recently, the department placed in the top-20 in the 2019 Global Entrepreneurship Research Productivity Rankings based on publications in JBV, ETP, and SEJ over the past 5-year period.  Across all campuses, the MISE Department includes 11 tenure-track faculty holding appointments in management and/or entrepreneurship with substantial plans to grow the department and its core strength in entrepreneurship.

Required qualifications: An earned doctorate in Entrepreneurship or closely aligned field from a nationally or internationally recognized university by the appointment start date. Demonstrated potential to establish a successful record of scholarly research, as evidenced by copies of published articles, submitted manuscripts, and/or working papers targeted at publication in top-tier Entrepreneurship and Management journals. Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and a commitment to teaching effectiveness at undergraduate and graduate levels in entrepreneurship and strategic management courses. Candidates for more senior appointments, Associate and Full Professor, should additionally have an established record of excellence in research and teaching. Candidates for full professor should additionally have made significant scholarly contributions to the discipline.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with capabilities to teach various undergraduate and graduate-level entrepreneurship, and strategic management courses in face-to-face and online settings preferred.
