     Description 

    The Department of Management at Clemson University invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship to begin in Fall 2021. 

    About the Department 

    The Department of Management is a comprehensive academic unit within the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business, with over 40 full-time tenured, tenure-track, and instructional faculty. The expertise and research interests of the Department span, and regularly integrate, the areas of strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, organizational behavior, international business, business ethics, human resource management, supply chain management, operations management, the management of information systems, and business analytics. 

     

    The Department offers an undergraduate degree and a Ph.D. in Management with multiple specialty tracks (e.g., Strategy, Entrepreneurship, MIS). Management faculty members are also active in the College's thriving MBA program. Management faculty have recently published in top-tier journals including AMJ, AMR, ASQ, SMJ, OS, JBV, ETP, MS, JAP, JOM, JMS, as well as other top-tier journals such as OBHDP, MISQ, ISJ, DSJ, EJOR, and POM, among others, and have been, or are currently, editors for leading journals.     Qualifications 

    Candidates for this tenure-track position must have a Ph.D. from an AACSB-accredited program, or strongly anticipate completion of such by August 2021. Consistent with Clemson University's goal of Top 20 public university status, we seek candidates with a record of high-quality research, or who can demonstrate an emerging stream of research that holds great promise for publication in leading academic journals. We are especially interested in individuals, including advanced Assistant Professors, who value and have strong records of collegiality, and whose research would complement the interests of our existing faculty. This includes expertise in the latest statistical and analytical methods, and a strong foundation in econometrics. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to teach at a level consistent with Clemson's high standards. The selected candidate will work with the Department Chair to align research expertise with Departmental teaching needs. Course load, preparations, and compensation are extremely competitive with other R1 schools.
