    Dear colleagues,

We are writing to invite you to participate in the following synchronous live Professional Development Workshop that Raffi Amit (Wharton), Christoph Zott (IESE), and I are organizing at the upcoming AOM:

Teaching Business Model Innovation: Tips, Techniques And Tools
scheduled on Jul 31 2021 from 8:00AM to 10:00AM Eastern (New York time) (UTC-4).

The lead faculty in this PDW include: Kathy Eisenhardt (Stanford) and Costas Markides (LBS).

The business model of firms refers to a strategic, system-level, holistic construct which depicts the ways in which firms do business. Business model innovation refers to the commercial introduction of a business model that is new to the product market(s) space(s) in which the focal firm competes. The number of courses and sessions on business model innovation offered in strategy and entrepreneurship programs at universities has been significantly increasing in recent years. The purpose of the highly interactive PDW is to offer tips, techniques and tools, and share experiences on best practices and rigorous analytical methods for teaching business model innovation. The PDW will provide a coherent perspective on business model innovation teaching (and research), offer new insights to guide future course and teaching material development and academic inquiry and share best practices in teaching business model innovation. PDW participants will get hands-on expert feedback on concrete questions and teaching-related issues. Scholars already teaching business model-related topics or wishing to develop such courses and/or session material are encouraged to participate.

If you are interested in participating, please provide us your name, email, and affiliation as well as one question you would like to have us address during the PDW in the following link so that we may share additional information with you prior to the PDW: https://forms.gle/FXNa21NdsKAxjEeo6

We are looking forward to virtually meeting you soon!

    Yuliya, Raffi, and Chris.

    Ps: Apologies for the cross-posting
