The Asia School of Business (ASB) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, starting in August 2020. All areas of management research and scholarship will be considered, including Organizational Behavior, Organization and Management Theory, Strategic Management, and Entrepreneurship.

Asia School of Business (ASB) - a partnership between the Central Bank of Malaysia and MIT Sloan School of Management - was founded in 2015 in Kuala Lumpur and has been recognized as having the most innovative MBA program in the world today by Poets & Quants. At ASB, we offer a multicultural and intellectually stimulating environment for scholars across different disciplines thanks to our commitment to people, ideas, and talent. We promote high-impact and actionable academic research and embrace scholarship from multiple disciplinary perspectives.

All faculty members spend a summer as International Faculty Fellows at MIT Sloan focusing on teaching and research capability development under the guidance of an MIT Sloan faculty host and retain their MIT affiliations afterward. ASB offers an internationally competitive compensation package, a very manageable teaching load, plus generous research funding and strong teaching support.

We favor applicants who can demonstrate the capacity for exceptional research achievement and the ability to teach effectively in MBA, Professional MBA, and Executive Education Programs. As a school, our goal is to develop transformative and principled leaders who will contribute to a better future and advance the emerging world. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong interest in Southeast Asia studies and/or with experience in the region. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or expect to receive one before the commencement of the appointment.

Interested candidates are invited to send: (1) a cover letter, (2) a current CV, (3) a research statement, (4) a job market paper, (5) a teaching statement and/or evidence of teaching effectiveness, and (6) contact information for at least two academic referees who will provide letters of recommendation to Ambra Mazzelli at ambra.mazzelli@asb.edu.my with the subject heading Management Search.

All application materials should be received by Monday, July 15, 2019. We will be holding interviews at the EGOS Colloquium (Edinburgh, July 4-6, 2019) and the Academy of Management Annual Meeting (AOM 2019, Boston, August 9-13, 2019). In order to facilitate the planning and location of interviews, please specify in your cover letter whether you want to be considered for an interview slot.  Applicants interested in meeting our faculty members at the EGOS Colloquium should send at least their cover letter and CV before June 17, 2019.
