The USASBE Social Entrepreneurship SIG is inviting nominations and self-nominations for several USASBE SIG Awards. We are excited to be offering four competitive SIG awards to our members and their networks:

    • Social Entrepreneurship SIG Award for Excellence in Teaching
    • Social Entrepreneurship SIG Award for Excellence in Scholarship (includes new scholars/junior faculty)
    • Social Entrepreneurship SIG Award for Excellence for Programming or Events
    • Social Entrepreneurship SIG Award for Excellence in Social Entrepreneurship Practice and Service

The first three awards (excellence in teaching, scholarship, and programming) are available for nomination and self-nominations of members. The last award (practice/service, for social entrepreneurs and innovators) is one for public nominations and self-nomination. There is a broad definition used of social entrepreneurship (incl. CSR, humanistic management, etc.), so please feel free to submit a nomination/self-nomination.

All awards come with USASBE SIG recognition and a monetary award of $250 from the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation. For more information, check out the SIG award website, and to nominate yourself or a colleague, you can apply via the USASBE Conference submissions portal under Cohorts and Consortiums (not the Awards category). All nominations must be received by October 31, 2020.
