Dear colleagues,
On behalf of my co-organizers Mirjam van Praag (VU Amsterdam and CBS), Mircea Epure (UPF and BGSE) and myself, I would like to invite you to submit your best work for the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics Summer Forum workshop on Entrepreneurship, to be held in Barcelona on June 11-12 2020, at Casa Convalescència.
This is the first workshop on Entrepreneurship organized as part of the Barcelona GSE Summer Forum and seeks to attract high-quality submissions at the intersection of management and economics. Over the past six years, the Barcelona GSE Summer Forum has established its presence as a prestigious event, consistently drawing leading scholars in different areas of economics and high-profile keynote addresses.
The workshop will run for one day and a half and will feature a keynote address (TBC) and ten to twelve papers, including invited presentations. Presentations will last about one hour, including comments from a discussant and the audience. We welcome empirical and theoretical submissions at the cutting edge of entrepreneurship from both experienced researchers and promising young scholars in the field. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to: new venture creation, dynamics of entrepreneurial careers, start-up strategy, entrepreneurial human capital, entrepreneurial finance, venture capital, corporate entrepreneurship, institutions and entrepreneurship.
The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2020. To submit a paper, please use this link https://app-summerforum.barcelonagse.eu. Submissions should include either a full paper or an extended abstract with the main results. Authors chosen to present papers will be notified approximately by mid-March. A preliminary program will be announced in mid-April.
