On Monday, May 17th at 5 pm CEST (10 am CT) emma (European Media Management Association) invites you to join our seventh #emmaTalk "One-year into the pandemic: how does the media industry stand now?".

The talk continues the first #emmaTalk that last year explored how the pandemic was affecting the media business. At the beginning of the pandemic media gained trust as they helped their audience navigate an uncertain situation.

Have media been able to sustain and build on this perception? Other important questions addressed by the panel are whether the pandemic has permanently reshaped the media industries and in what way and what business models are likely sustainable post-pandemic.

    Our speakers:

Lucy Kueng, strategic advisor, professor, board member, speaker and award-winning author, Senior Research Associate at the Reuters Institute, Oxford University.

Ken Doctor, go-to analyst, speaker and consultant on news business models, through Newsonomics, his own company and website, Harvard's Nieman Journalism Lab and most recently Lookout Local.

James Savage, founder and Publisher of The Local, which publishes news from nine European countries for a worldwide audience of 7 million users.
