    Position Announcement: Lecturer in Entrepreneurship, One-Year

    Description

    The Gary W. Rollins College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) invites applications for a non-tenure-track, one-year lecturer position in Entrepreneurship beginning August 2019. Salary and benefits are competitive with peer institutions. Responsibilities include teaching twelve credit hours per semester; commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence; and service at the department-, college- and/or university-level. The Rollins College of Business at UTC has a long-standing AACSB accreditation at the undergraduate and graduate levels, serves approximately 2,000 students, and has a collegial faculty.

     

    Qualifications

    Applicants must have a master's degree in entrepreneurship or other area in business from an AACSB accredited university, or be in the final stage of their master's studies with expected completion prior to their start date of August 2019. Demonstrated ability for teaching excellence in entrepreneurship, and ability to provide instruction in a variety of modalities (including online) either through graduate studies, training, or experience, is also required. Furthermore, the candidate must have five or more years of industry experience in new venture development, or innovative start-up experience in a business or academic environment. Possible courses include new venture creation, innovation and creativity, and social entrepreneurship.
